Nokia Mobiles has launched a new mobile in the Lumia series called 'Nokia Lumia 720'. Nokia has announced the device recently and it is expected to be out in the market very soon. Nokia has made this smartphone on Microsoft owned Windows 8 operating system. Nokia Lumia 720 is made on the latest technologies and uses latest applications, yet the smartphone is aimed to be in the mid range affordable price. On the other hand, HTC mobiles unveils another smartphone named HTC 8S. HTC 8S also has the Windows 8 operating system. The smartphone was launched soon after the Windows Phone 8 launch.
Nokia Lumia 720 sports a uni-body design with number of applications built in it. HTC 8S also has uni-body design. Both the devices has same operating system while coming to the dimensions, Nokia Lumia 720 weighs less compared to HTC 8S. Nokia Lumia 720 weighs 113 grams and HTC 8S is on the heavier side weighing 128 grams. We cannot make much out of the pricing of the devices as well. Nokia Lumia 720 price is expected to be below INR 20,000 and similarly HTC 8S price is in the range of INR 18,000. The display screen of the devices also does not differ much in it size where Nokia Lumia 720 has a 4.3 inch LCD display while HTC 8S has 4 inch IPS display. Coming to the camera features of both the devices, Nokia Lumia 720 has the upper hand featuring 6.7 mega pixel camera and HTC 8S features a 5 mega pixel camera. When the comparison between the memory storage capacity of the devices are done, Nokia Lumia 720 HTC has 4GB data storage capacity while Nokia Lumia 720 has 8GB storage capacity. And if the memory expansion is to be done, HTC 8S can be expanded up to 32GB and for Nokia Lumia 720, the memory can be expanded up to 64GB – double the HTC memory expansion size.
Nokia Lumia 720 and HTC comparison is so close to call. There is no feature in any of the devices that will certainly catch the eye of the user and will out pace the other device. Both the devices are having certain extra-ordinary features and there are some features that are below par. The biggest plus point on both the smartphones are both the devices use Windows 8 operating system. One can go to any of the devices after having a look at the specifications of the devices. Yet, it is recommended that Nokia Lumia 720 could be the better option among the two smartphones
