Nokia 105 is the surprising package that was unveiled by Nokia Mobiles at the Mobile World Congress meet in Barcelona. When every other mobile manufacturing unit came up with their flagship devices, Nokia launched a basic features phone called Nokia 105. Nokia 105 will be launched by the end of March or the at the start of April, 2013. Being a feature phone, Nokia 105 price is just INR 1,000. Such a device from Nokia was never expected when all the mobile companies are concentrating on smartphones. These phones are mainly targeted at the Indians who would check the afford-ability along with the features and specifications.
Coming to the detailed specifications, Nokia 105 pictures a color TFT display screen of 1.45 inches that has a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels at 125ppi pixel density with 65K color variants on the screen. Below that we find the menu keys and the 12 button keypad consisting of numbers 0 to 9. The mobile comes in 107 x 44.8 x 14.3 mm dimensions and with weight of just 70 grams makes it a very light weight phone that is easily portable and fits the hand of the user comfortably. A flashlight is also provided with the mobile. Nokia 105 features very basic specifications that only solves the user's needs for calls and text messages. Nokia 105 runs on Nokia series 30 platform and it is a Nokia proprietary operating system. It also has a speaking clock that specifies the time when needed. It has a unique feature called 'Nokia Life', a SMS based internet service that sends us tips in the form of messages on various topics like education, health, agriculture and entertainment. The mobile is also provided with an FM radio option that keeps us entertained during our needful time. The device has the USB connection enabled that is used for charging the device. It has an internal memory of 8MB that can store contacts up to 500 numbers and store messages in the inbox
The battery of Nokia 105 is of Li-ion with 800mAh capacity that gives a standby time of a massive 840 hours and the talktime can be around 12 hours. The device comes in two colors namely Black and Cyan. Looking at the price, this mobile will be very helpful for the Indians who cannot afford phones with high prices.
