Nokia mobiles and Sony mobiles are well known for their innovative mobile phones with impressive designs and technology. The company has recently launched many interesting handsets to the Indian mobile stores. The Nokia Lumia 710 and Sony Xperia U are the two best smartphones that has been available in the market with similar price tag. The Sony Xperia U is a light weight phone which comes with weight of around 110 grams and dimensions of 112 x 54 x 12 mm. Whereas, Nokia Lumia 710 is sleek with dimension of 119 x 62.4 x 12.5 mm and weighs 125.5 grams. The Sony Xperia U is thin, curved and has wedge shaped edges that ensure better grip and strong feel to the device. The phone is loaded with better build quality and material, that add an decent look to the device. The Nokia Lumia 710 is softer and has a curved structure with a tapered top and bottom. The phone is also loaded with a gently sloping back panel, that gives a very clean and stylish look to the device.
The Nokia Lumia looks impressive with a slightly larger display screen of 3.7 inches supporting with a capacitive LCD touchscreen. The display has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a pretty pixel density of 252 ppi. The Sony Xperia U comes with a very sharp and bright pictures quality with a slightly higher and impressive pixel density of 280 pixels. The Nokia Lumia 710 features with a perfect display screen but the color reproduction is quite dull. Whereas Sony Xperia U display is excellent with Sony's Bravia Mobile engine.
It is very disappointing that both the smartphone will not have an external memory card slot for memory expansion. The Nokia Lumia 710 is loaded with a better internal user memory of 8 GB and the Sony Xperia U has 4GB of internal storage capacity. Both the smartphones are enabled with better processors that delivers excellent performance speed. The Sony's smartphone is loaded with a dual core ARM cortex A9 processor with processing speed of 1 GHz supporting with ST Ericsson NovaThor U8500 chip with a Mali-400MP graphics processing unit. The Nokia Lumia 710 runs with Qualcomm Snapdragon Scorpion single core processor clocked at 1GHz supporting with Window's Phone operating system. The processor also features with a MSM8255 chipset with an Adreno 205 GPU that delivers an impressive performance. Both of the devices have outstanding features, for the consumer looking for a cheapest window's phone the Nokia Lumia 710 is a good option and for better application the android based Sony Xperia U is better.
