Nokia is king in cheap handset market

Nokia mobiles, is a well known mobile manufacturing which is currently ruling the below Rs. 5000 mobile segment. According to the source reports, The Nokia has stood first as a leading vendor is producing 21.80 percent market share in the belo Rs. 5000 category. The Samsung has stood second in the segment, which has 10.7 percent market share and Micromax followed Samsung with 6.4 percent of market share. Another good news is that the mobile phone sales has crossed the 50 million market share in the January to March quarter this year with its increased by 9.1 per cent from last year. The smartphones made was also increased by 5.3 per cent of the phones sold in the indian mobile segment. The source report also states that the dual SIM category accounted is s a market share of two thirds of the total sales and the 3G handsets accounted for under 10 per cent of total sales. The Nokia has launched nearly 21 mobile phones between April 2011 to March 2012 and it is to be even of Nokia C series phones, five from Nokia Asha series, five from Nokia X series and four from ultra low cost series.
