Nokia 701 has got a new firmware update and now it features a brighter display which would make it easy to view the contents in brighter light ,Nokia mobiles have been using its native OS i.e. Symbian for quite a long time and now it has decided to move onto Windows phone platform provided by Microsoft. Although it continues to use the Symbian in it’s products and has developed a newer version of Symbian which is more like Android and this new version is available with Nokia 701. Nokia 701 is a multimedia handset featuring 3.5 inches display having the features of multitouch Corning Gorilla glass screen with backlight LED for brighter and clear display, Dual network (2G and 3G) with 512 MB RAM and 8GB internal memory. External memory can be extended upto 32 GB. The camera in Nokia 701 is of 8MP with dual Flash and featuring Face-Detection and Geo-tagging facility. You can shoot video with 720p at 30fps with its 8MP high resolution camera.It runs a Symbian Belle OS and can be upgraded to Symbian Belle FP1. From what we see, the Nokia 701 pictures reveal that the phone has a larger LED touchscreen display which offers a more bright and clear viewing experience and it's slim and light weight . The design is sleek with attractive back panel and is avaialble in various colors.
Nokia mobiles launched this Nokia 701 model in 2011 and now it has been upgraded with latest features to attract users as Nokia is trying to win back it’s share in mobile handset segment.Nokia 701 features 1300 mAH li-ion battery for better and longer battery life which efficiently provides 500+ hours of battery backup on either networks in standby mode and approximately 6 + hours of talk time .It is coupled with 1GHz ARM11 processors which has been upgraded to 1.3 GHz for faster internet browsing and graphic rendering.
Among other goodies available after this firmware upgrade are OpenGL ES2.0 GPU support, Accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors and it now supports Adobe flash Lite in WAP 2.0 /xHTML enabled web browser and yes, now there is A-GPS support which could prove to be very useful if you lost your way.The all new revamped Nokia 701 price is Rs 12,999/- in India . However , other Nokia mobiles including some variants of Nokia Lumia are available in that price segment ,so it could be a challenging task to choose among the equals but if you are a true Nokia mobiles fan and you are not yet aware about the public response to the Windows phone powered Nokia phones then trying out Nokia 701 could be a good option and I’m sure this one will not let you down .
